Chelsea and Australian soccer star Sam Kerr called a British police officer “stupid and white” at a police station in Twickenham after a dispute with a taxi driver in the early hours of January 30, 2023, a jury has heard.The Matildas captain is facing charges of causing racially aggravated harassment.It is alleged that Kerr and her partner, fellow soccer player Kristie Mewis, had been out drinking when they were driven to Twickenham police station by a taxi driver who complained the passengers refused to pay clean-up costs after one of them was sick, and that one of them smashed the vehicle’s rear window, the BBC reported.Kerr denies any wrongdoing.Footage from the officer’s body worn camera was played the jury at Kingston Crown Court, in which Ms Kerr uses an expletive and tells the officer he was “stupid and white.” Credit: CPS via Storyful
