A wildfire in Marysvale, Utah, dubbed the Silver King Fire, doubled in size on Sunday, July 7, reaching
nearly 11,000 acres, according to
news reports.Footage posted by Spencer Cox, the Governor of Utah, shows a large plume of smoke arising from the fire, which Cox said was “growing rapidly in difficult terrain”.“The next two weeks will be brutal for fire conditions in our state. Please be careful,” Cox
wrote on X.The local administration
said that the fire was attacked with “air tankers spreading retardant, helicopters bucketing water, five hotshot crews, three bulldozers putting in firebreaks, 600 federal personnel, and hand crews protecting structures” on Sunday.The fire was still at
zero per cent containment as of Sunday evening.According to a public information officer
