A wildfire broke out and threatened homes in Rancho Bernardo, a community in northern San Diego, California, on Wednesday morning, January 22, before its forward progress was halted with help from firefighting aircraft, fire officials said.“A fast, concentrated response supported by air units helped firefighters quickly contain the Center Fire in Rancho Bernardo today,” San Diego Fire-Rescue said. “Homes were threatened and there were initial evacuation orders, but support from nearby and partner agencies ensured no structures were damaged.
