A winter weather advisory was in effect for parts of Texas and New Mexico on Thursday, January 9, as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of snow accumulations up to 2 inches and 35 mph wind gusts.The weather service warned portions of south-central and southwest New Mexico and southwest Texas to expect hazardous road conditions until early Friday morning.Footage taken by Lauren Macias-Cervantes, public information officer for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), shows snow coming down at the Texas-New Mexico state border on Interstate 10 around 11:30 am on Thursday.“Slow down and use caution while traveling,” the NWS urged.
