Thousands of people took to the streets of Belgrade, Serbia, on May 8, calling for an end to gun violence days after 17 people were killed in two separate shootings.Serbian TV channel N1 said that, according to police estimates quoted by an MP, some 50,000 people were in attendance.Footage by Ingrid Gercama shows the crowd in front of the National Assembly.Protests also took place in other cities, less than a week after nine people were killed in a school shooting on May 3, and eight people were fatally shot in villages south of Belgrade the following day.
