Heavy snow fell across Louisiana on Tuesday morning, January 21, prompting major road closures across the state.This footage from live traffic cameras shows conditions on roads around Lake Charles and Sulphur.By 9 am, between 1.5 and 2 inches of snow had been reported in various areas, according to the National Weather Service.“Motorists are advised to stay off the roadways as many are becoming impassable due to the winter weather conditions,” said the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD).Multiple snow plows and de-icing vehicles were working on major routes throughout the state, the DOTD said.
